Emergency Medical Services

The Emergency Medical Services Basic class is a course of study intended to provide the student with a basic understanding of how to respond in a given emergency situation. The topics to be covered include: Scene Safety, Situational Awareness, Airway Management, Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), AED use, Basic Pharmacology, Bleeding Injury, Soft Tissue Injury, and Extremity Trauma. This course will use hands-on activities, projects and direct instruction to help everyone reach the learning targets.
