Over 80,000 City of New York employees are at risk for developing diabetes – and most don’t know their risk. Take this risk test to find out if you may have prediabetes, then discuss the results with your health care provider. Don’t have one? Watch this video to learn how to get started.
Diabetes prevention and management has a lot to do with what’s on your plate. Focus on eating non-starchy vegetables, lean meats and plant-based protein, and whole grains. Limit added sugars and processed foods. In uncertain times it’s normal to feel higher levels of stress, anxiety, and sadness. The NYC EAP is available to help you manage stress with helpful takeaways and tips for developing stress management habits.
