Salutatorian – Theodore Alexander

by Kimberly Exil

Theodore Alexander is one of the well-known faces in M.A.S.T high school, and over the course of the year, he has done much to help contribute to our school environment. This is what he had to say in an interview with us:

“Having the honor of being the salutatorian for the class of 2018 is the icing on the cake after my long journey through high school. Back in junior high and elementary school I was one of those students that were super laid back and not motivated. My grades were borderline, but once high school started I was determined to prove everyone wrong. It all started from staying behind after school to attending Saturday school sessions and building connections with my teachers that made me the academic scholar that I am today.”

“To the future graduates of M.A.S.T., as cliché as it might sound, just keep pushing, and don’t give up. Most importantly, keep your friends and loved ones close. Believe me when I say that they give the best advice and can be uplifting. Next stop, University at Albany!”
