Star Wars Battlefront 2 launched in November 17, 2017, which makes the game over a year old. When Battlefront 2 launched it had a rocky start, as it was plagued by aggressive microtransactions and a pay-to-win system. After this event, EA and Dice (the developers) fixed the pay- to-win system and revamped the entire game. Today the game is completely different and EA and Dice continue to add new content. Currently, Star Wars Battlefront 2 is in a Clone Wars DLC Season with developers adding in new heroes, villains, and maps. In this latest update we get the planet where the Clone Wars started Geonosis.
With the Clone Wars DLC season in full swing, Battlefront fans are getting everything they could want from it. I was recently able to play on the Geonosis, the first map to come out in Clone Wars. Like all the other maps you get to play on both sides of the battle, The Galactic Republic and The Separatist. Geonosis is the first map where The Republic attacks The Separatist, instead of the other way around like on the other previous Clone Wars maps. Geonosis is a refreshing take on the game with Dice adding in classic Clone Wars vehicles such as AT-TE that are not bound to linear rails like other vehicles are. Overall this DLC season is going great so far and I am excited for much that is to come.
