Using Edpuzzle features, edit the video to include notes (summarizing the video) and questions (MC & Open Ended).

Your project should include AT LEAST 2 Notes, 2 Multiple Choice Questions, and 2 Open Ended Questions. Notes should highlight the important aspects of the Legislation (when/how it originated & its purpose). The Multiple Choice & Open Ended questions should be challenging but possible to answer using information from the video (no prior knowledge necessary).

2. Summarize article in a 1-2 minute Flipgrid video. Focus on impacts to humans/marine organisms.

Prior-Knowledge & Warm-Up Questions will be completed as a Class. The Activity: "Heat in, Heat Out" will be completed independently, with a partner, or in small-groups.

This assignment contains a copy of the 2020 Practice Exam Multiple Choice. You may attempt these questions on your own and answer in the attached Google Doc. We will be reviewing these questions and test-taking strategies during Office Hours every weekday starting @ 2:00pm.

THE EDPUZZLE IS A VIDEO OF MODEL QUESTIONS TO HELP YOU CHECK YOUR WORK

Using Minecraft, you will design and build a solution that supports sustainable communities and reduces inequities for everyone. You will accomplish this by solving a real-world problem (ending poverty, equal education, climate change, etc...). Once you have designed your solution, you will record a 1 minute 30 second Flipgrid video explaining the purpose of your creation. The Flipgrid submissions will be judged based on the provide rubric, and the students with the best designs will be selected to compete in a Live E-Sports Competition.


This assignment will be counted as EXTRA CREDIT for SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS. If you wish, you may record you design and share with me before the due date for feedback.

Utilize the links provided in the document to discover what pesticides are and answer the guiding questions on how they effect the environment.

Annotate the following article related to Agriculture and its affect on humanity. You may work with a partner or in groups to combine annotations.

After reading the article, respond to the following Claim:

"Agriculture is the worst mistake in the history of the human race."

You should make your own claim, either agreeing or disagreeing with the statement. You should write at least one paragraph, following the "CLAIM, EVIDENCE, REASONING" format.

Please respond to the prompt by adding images, vocabulary words, and ideas that show how science can be seen in your life.

Using the information you gathered from the Types of Forestry Jamboard Activity, you will write a mini-essay (1-2 paragraphs) answering the following question:

"What type of Forestry is the most sustainable and safest for the environment?"

To write this response, you should write in the form of a CLAIM, EVIDENCE, AND REASONING. (Similar to TEAL). You should also have your evidence come from an online resource, such as an article or a video you found.

On this Jamboard OR Google Doc, please follow the directions to explain the different types of forestry (methods of managing, using, and conserving forests). You will researching the pros and cons of all to compare them in the future.

Utilizing Explore Learning, you will investigate Erosion and how different factors impact the rate of erosion and soil degradation.

Utilizing Explore Learning, you will investigate Plate Tectonics and how different plate boundaries interact.
