Spring 20'-21' Environmental Science-Period 1 Assignments

Using Minecraft, you will design and build a solution that supports sustainable communities and reduces inequities for everyone. You will accomplish this by solving a real-world problem (ending poverty, equal education, climate change, etc...). Once you have designed your solution, you will record a 1 minute 30 second Flipgrid video explaining the purpose of your creation. The Flipgrid submissions will be judged based on the provide rubric, and the students with the best designs will be selected to compete in a Live E-Sports Competition.


This assignment will be counted as EXTRA CREDIT for SUMMATIVE ASSESSMENTS. If you wish, you may record you design and share with me before the due date for feedback.

Before starting this project, please make sure you have completed ALL necessary virtual lessons on the Switch Classroom (Coal, Oil, Natural Gas, OR Nuclear).

Using this platform, we will engage in virtual lessons surrounding the different non-renewable and renewable energy sources around the world.

For your first Classwork Assignment, you will select a type of NON-RENEWABLE Energy Source and complete the virtual lessons surrounding that topic. The choices are:

Oil
Coal
Natural Gas
Nuclear Energy
