Spring 20'-21' Health-Period 7 Assignments

Find a video that discusses one of the following Sexual Transmitted Infections:

Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Syphilis
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV)
Genital Herpes
Hepatitis (B and C)
Trichomoniasis

Using Edpuzzle, create a video project that highlights the following points:

1. How does someone get this STI?
2. What symptoms does a person show with this infection?
3. How does the infection affect a person's body?
4. What are the treatments for this infection? If left untreated, what can happen to a person?

You should use a mix of Notes, Multiple Choice Questions, and Open Ended Questions. All information should be taken directly from your video (no prior/outside knowledge necessary.

Please complete the following survey by answering questions about yourself. Tally up your results to see what your preferences are. 

Write at least 1 paragraph (at least 5 sentences) summarizing the key points of the documentary. You may highlight effects of tobacco, different ways it is made, and how to quit/how people's health can improve.

For your final project for the Alcohol Unit, you will create a poster based on one of two options:

1. Alcohol Advertisement

2. Alcohol Warning Label

Your poster should be 100% honest about the effects of alcohol and its dangers, as well as include images to enhance your overall message

*Link of any sources should be listed on the bottom of the poster.*

In the document provided, list the types of foods that you would eat in each food group. Include the information you gathered from the first "My Plate" assignment to see how much of each food group you should eat.

During Asynchronous time, take the free personality test found in the link below. This test is also known as the Myers-Briggs Test. After answering the survey questions, you will be given your personality type (represented by letters and a title). Write down your personality type in the Google Doc attached. Once you have done that, read more about your personality type and take down important information on the Google Doc. This will be used during Class Discussion on Thursday.
(For full points, you should have at least half of the page filled with notes).

Time: 15-20 minutes

Directions: Using either a video recording software (Flipgrid, Zoom, etc...) or a Google Doc, you will evaluate the 8 Dimensions of Wellness and explain which type of wellness you are strong in and which you feel you are weak in. You will explain why you feel this way and what habits you have that make you healthy/unhealthy in this area.

Once time is up, we will return to the Class Zoom call and share out responses.
