Sexually Transmitted Infections
Each group will research one of the following Sexually Transmitted Infections:
Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Syphilis
Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) Genital Herpes
Hepatitis (B and C) Trichomoniasis
Answer the following questions: What is your group’s STI? (Name/definition)
Where can we contract STIs? (causes) Who is at high risk?
What are the symptoms?
Male? Female?
What are the available treatments?
If left untreated, what happens? Male? Female?

Your group is responsible for creating a Google Slide presentation for the class.
You must have a title slide, with your topic and group names
Minimum of 6 slides, and use bullet points to teach key points
Research should be in your own words
Site all of your sources.
NO ​graphic pictures! Try to use computer made images or cartoons.

Using the platform of your choice (google slides, Canva, powerpoint, etc.) you are going to create a poster to discuss how we can reduce the risk of transmitting HIV/AIDS and other STIs OR why abstinence is important to me.
Please include materials we have discussed in class, learned from nearpod, and have seen on the websites or videos we have watched.

Your poster should be 100% honest to enhance your overall message

Please answer the following questions based on the Ryan White Video we watched in class.
1. What is your feelings on how Ryan White was treated in school and in his community? Would you have treated him differently? Explain

Independently, you will utilize your resource of choice to create an HONEST Tobacco package. Similar to your Alcohol Advertisement, focus on a specific effect/result of smoking tobacco for your project. You may use whatever platform you would like; canva, google slides, etc.

For your final project for the Alcohol Unit, you will create a poster based on one of two options:

1. Alcohol Advertisement

2. Alcohol Warning Label

Over the next few days, we will watch "That Sugar Film". This documentary discusses the role of SUGAR in today's society.
While watching the documentary, please complete the questions in the attached form.

Today we will recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a presentation by the Maurer Foundation. Please submit the worksheet as we go through the presentation - all answers can be found in the Peardeck. Please work with the other students in your breakout rooms to fill in the attached paged about the nutrient you were assigned. Use the website for more infomation

Please read the attached assignment and complete by Friday 10/23/20. We will be presenting these projects starting on 10/26/20.

After you watch the video, please reflect on the word "resiliency". Please respond to the following 3 question prompts to complete your assignment; each response should have at least 4 complete sentences.

A person very close to you (best friend, sibling, cousin, etc...) is having issues with their self-esteem. They are not confident in themselves and struggle with their image.

Write a letter to this friend encouraging them and give them strategies to help improve their self-esteem.
