Social Studies - NX Support Assignments

Follow the instructions given and complete and submit project by January 4th

Complete the attached Google Doc. by examining each document provided and create an Enduring Issues Essay. Be sure to utilize the Planning Guide provided in the google doc and the Rubric provided below! Good Luck!

Directions: Read and Annotate documents in "Step #1." Be sure to review the New Annotation Criteria and the NX assignment rubric before you begin.

You will need to annotate each document by: staring (**) important information, underlining (_______) key evidence, highlighting and defining unfamiliar words, and most importantly you will need to create Notes based on each document. The Note needs to be in your own words, paraphrase the information from the documents.

Using the documents provided (on the Golden Ages of the Gupta Empire, Greece, Rome, and Han Dynasty) complete the graphic organizer provided by noting the relevant accomplishments of each civilization during the Classical Era. Be sure to reference the rubric provided to ensure you complete the task as required.

Use the Part III: Enduring Issues Essay to review the documents.  Use the Enduring Issues Essay Poster to identify an enduring issue for at least 3 documents.

Complete the attached google doc containing 2 sets of Constructed Response Questions. Be sure to examine each document carefully and develop responses that are clear and accurate.

Click on the links to see projects and activities that must be completed to satisfy NX course requirements. You MUST make a copy of each document, then you will be able to write on it. Step 1: Review the 20th Century Genocides - Google Slides
Step 2: Read about the most Infamous Genocides - PDF

Step 3: Choose THREE GENOCIDES from the “Infamous Genocides” document. Then complete independent research for THREE different genocides and complete THREE activities to represent the genocide you chose. (Choose from the Menu of Activities). Additionally, be sure to use crediable website to conduct your research and do not copy information directly, PUT THE INFORMATION INTO YOUR OWN WORDS.

Step 4: Attach and Upload - THREE different activities on THREE different Genocides
- You can use Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sites, etc. Inorder to complete this NX assignment.

Once you have completed "Step #1" - The reading and annotation section you will use the documents from "Step 1" to complete the activities in "Step #2).

Examine the French Revolution Document Packet provided and create and argument to the question "Was the French Revolution Successful?". Gather evidence from the document packet to complete your argument. Be sure to utilize the rubric provided when creating your argument and completing the Google doc. below "Part Ib: French Revolution Argument"

Examine each of the documents and videos provided in the attached Google Doc. On page 5 of the Google Doc complete the graphic organizer to demonstrate your understanding of the key ideas developed during the Enlightenment. Be sure to utilize the attached rubric when completing this assignment.
