Task: Mapping Cellular Organization Levels in Google Classroom

Task: Mapping Cellular Organization Levels

For this task you will be mapping out the cellular organization of an organism of your choosing, from an atom to a full grown giraffe, or whatever you like. You started this in nearpod but you will complete it here.

Instructions:
(1) Think of one organism.
(2) Using that organism, create your OWN organizational levels, COMPLETE with examples.

FYI:
- Attached to the assignment is an example/model of what should be included both visually and textually for a complete submission.
- See also the success criteria/rubric to understand how we will be grading.

From Nearpod,
*Today's Task*
You are to create your OWN organizational levels, from atoms to organisms. When doing so:
(1) Maintain the same levels like we did in class.

(2) Give your own example for each level.

(Extending learning)
(3) As much as possible, stick to one organism and 'dissect' its levels.

Scientific Method Investigation Lab Report (Google Drive)

Please be sure to input EVERY STEP you are taking towards completing your investigation in these google slides. You are expected to make DAILY SUBMISSIONS. Pay attention to the STEPS that you need to submit everyday.
Slide 1: Problem/Question
Slide 2: Background Research Summary (with citations). Please AVOID PLAGIARISM!
Slide 3: Hypothesis (STATEMENT that answers your question, based on your background
research)
Slide 4: Experimental Setup & Variables(can be actual photos/sketches attached/flipgrid
video showing the set up; independent variable, dependent variable, constant
variables)
Slide 5: Materials (can be a photo of all your materials attached to this slide)
Slide 6: Procedure (STEPS taken, numbered (NOT in paragraph form)

photographed, and then attached to this particular slide)
*** Feel free to add another slide for your data if you need to.***
Slide 8: Data Analysis (What TREND/S or PATTERN/S did you observe from looking at your
data?)
Slide 9: Conclusion (STATEMENT that answers your question, based on the experiment you
conducted)

Individual Investigation PLAN in Google Classroom

Individual Investigation PLAN

Describe what you plan to investigate and how you are going to that.

For example:
I intend to investigate whether the shape of the nose cone of a straw rocket affects the distance it travels. In order to do this, I will take 3 straws of the same dimensions, and make them the body of my straw rockets. The first straw rocket will have a round nose cone; the second will have a triangle nose cone, and the third will have a square nose cone.

SUCCESS CRITERIA CHECKLIST:
- investigation described (1 pt.)
- general materials included (1 pt.)
- general procedure included (1 pt.)
- academic vocabulary used (1 pt.)
(Examples of academic vocabulary used in my sample response above: investigate, dimensions)

Safety Around Common Household Materials in Google Classroom

Safety Around Common Household Materials

As discussed in class, For this assignment you will chose at least two (or more) items or scenarios you find around your home, such as:

- cooking
- grilling
- cleaning with bleach
- using scissors or sewing
- microwaves, etc.

Then you will create a poster that describes the dangers and cautions an individual should take when using or approaching these items or scenarios, Just like how you would caution classmates if we were doing labs in person. Imagine it is a younger sibling or relative you are presenting to.

Note:
* You may do your poster by hand and take a photo to submit to this assignment.
** I have attached an example and template for your reference, but be creative in your submission.
***I have attached a rubric we wil reference when grading posters and presentations.
