Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) (Q55A)
Our S.T.E.A.M. program emphasizes the interconnections among mathematics, science, technology, and the humanities, prepares students to become creative problem-solvers, effective communicators, and tomorrow's leaders through a rigorous curriculum and collaborative partnerships. Our approach is driven by problem-solving and exploratory learning, which promotes student readiness for college, prepares them for the 21st century workforce, and provides opportunities for critical and design thinking. Specialized courses in the STEAM Program include Robotics, Engineering Design, Computer Science, Forensics, Hydroponics and Astronomy. The "A" in STEAM credited courses include Dance and Visual Arts that are offered during the academic day.
This program allows scholars the opportunity to both earn a New York State high school diploma and up to 30 transferable college credits (with a required minimum of 12 college credits). College credits can be through 3 Pathways: 1) Scoring a 3 and above on Advanced Placement (AP) Exams, (2) College Now Program at York College, and (3) National Equity Lab’s High-Schools-In-College Program who offers courses from prestigious universities including Howard, Princeton, Stanford, Wharton, University of Pennsylvania, Wesleyan, Cornell, Georgetown, Arizona State University, Barnard and Harvard. In this program, scholars earn dual credit in high school and college simultaneously.
This program is a hands-on, tech-focused pathway that prepares students for college and careers in the digital world. Students learn essential coding languages like JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and build real web applications while exploring how technology drives innovation across industries. Through Career Discovery Week, Workplace Challenges, and paid internships, students gain real-world experience and connect with industry professionals. The program also offers early college credit through CUNY and partner universities, plus instruction in financial literacy, ethical coding, and career planning. By the end of the program, students will have the skills, confidence, and experience to thrive in college and lead in today’s fast-paced tech industry.
This program is for students who want to make a difference through careers in social work, counseling, and mental health services. It combines classroom learning with real-world experiences to prepare students for college and the workforce. Students take courses in human development, psychology, and mental health, and can earn certifications like Crisis Intervention, Community Health Worker, and Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) before graduating high school. With hands-on learning and work-based opportunities, students explore careers in social work, counseling, and community advocacy. The program also focuses on cultural competence, empowering students to support diverse communities and promote wellness in schools and beyond.

Future Ready (Coming Soon)
Our school was selected to be a part of the Future Ready NYC and Modern Youth Apprenticeship Pilot Program. These career-connected student-pathway programs were created and aligned to Chancellor Bank's North Star Vision of long-term economic security and opportunity for DOE students. The Future Ready program allow schools to create new career-connected programs that are aligned to in-demand, high wage jobs and/or education program. Students that participate will be exposed to career-connected courses, work-based learning experiences, early college credits, industry credentials, and career advisement.
